The Filipina Achievers in Rural Education Award (FLORA) honors the exceptional contributions of Filipino women in the field of rural education.




For 2024, MFI recognized women educators who developed outstanding innovative projects aimed at fostering critical citizenship among Filipino.
The Filipina Achievers in Rural Education Award (FLORA) is a prestigious recognition bestowed upon exceptional Filipino women making significant strides in rural education.
Spearheaded by Multinational Foundation, Inc. (MFI), the award underscores the importance of innovative, practical approaches to delivering quality education in underserved communities. The 2024 edition of the FLORA Award was dedicated to the memory of Erlinda K. Ilusorio, a devoted advocate of rural development and mother of Ramon K. Ilusorio, founder of MIB Capital Corporation and benefactor of MFI.
The award ceremony held on 23 May 2025 recognized four outstanding women educators, each representing the spirit of innovation, resilience, and leadership:
Ms. Ma. Ruby Cordero Primero – Municipality of Mina, Iloilo
Dr. Mary Hazel B. Ballena – Bucay, Abra
Ms. Ervie Ann Consigna Conte – Barangay Anajawan, Surigao del Norte
Dr. Marife Matic Mustacisa-Lacaba – Catbalogan, Samar

The 2024 FLORA Award honored four women whose work exemplifies the power of education in transforming rural lives. Through their dedication, innovation, and deep community involvement, these educators have not only advanced rural education but have also inspired a generation of youth to become active, empowered citizens.
