Judith Sagayo, an innovative educator, developed a new approach to distance learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. Her creation, “Blending Hand-Held Radio with Learning Modules for Learning Continuity Amidst Covid 19 Pandemic,” allowed teachers to continue instructing students in their remote community despite zero internet access and poor cellphone signal. Sagayo’s innovation uses a two-way hand-held radio to broadcast lessons to learners at home, who can interact with teachers through the device.
