The Multinational Foundation, Inc. (MFI) in partnership with TOWNS Foundation, Inc. has launched the FILIPINA ACHIEVERS FOR RURAL EDUCATION AWARDS (FLORA) to recognize and honor women who have made outstanding contributions to rural education. This award cannot be more timely as the COVID 19 pandemic and the ensuing lockdowns have caused significant disruptions to education.
We would like to inform your esteemed institution of this award-giving project. We also request your assistance in building awareness about the award and widening our reach of target nominees and nominators. With your support, we hope to expand the coverage of the search in as many rural communities as possible.
For the FLORA 2022 call for nominations, eligible nominees are women educators in basic, higher and/or technical education in 4th, 5th, and 6th class municipalities in Luzon. We are seeking nominees who are Filipino citizens and who have developed and implemented educational innovations responsive to the challenges of the COVID-19 crisis and disruptions in their communities. The reckoning period of the achievements that will be considered for FLORA 2022 is from March 2020 to June 2022. A three-stage selection process will be followed to vet each nomination. The FLORA 2022 awardee/s will receive a cash prize of PhP 100,000, a trophy and plaque.
The deadline for submission of nominees is on 31 October 2022. Nomination forms are available at floraph.com and more information at facebook.com/florawardph. For more queries, please email awards@floraph.com.
We sincerely hope that through your kind attention and assistance we can give due recognition to the hard work of exemplary teachers and put on center stage outstanding Filipina achievers in rural education.
